The Ontario Convention Center’s carpet is much cleaner

Shamrock cleaned 30,000 square feet of carpet at the Ontario Convention Center. The carpet turned out great. They were so please we were back two weeks later cleaning after a messy event!

Here is out latest tool we use to agitate spots out of your carpet when we are carpet cleaning in your home. This tool is especially great on stair carpet cleaning. Stairs are the dirtiest in the home because the dirt and grime are agitated into the stair as a person steps up and the stairs are vacuumed least.

Boy Scout Air Duct Cleaning

What a great weekend. Eric and Larry did two air duct jobs in Eden, Utah! Eric’s family is there and Shamrock donated two air ducts jobs to the Boy Scouts of America. $800 was raised for these two jobs for the Boy Scouts.

These air ducts were nasty. The homes were over 30 years old and they had never had been cleaned! Everyone will be breathing better in these homes in Utah.

Eric and Larry were chosen as finalists in a nationwide contest for carpet and restoration professionals . The award is a business summit with Sir Richard Branson of Virgin and Bill Phillips of Body-for-Life fame. The event is held in LA in November.

Vortex Tile and Grout Cleaning

We did some tile and grout cleaning at Central Park in Rancho Cucamonga earlier in the year with some great results. We are corporate sponsors of the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber so we get some time to promote Shamrock Cleaning and Restoration’s services, which is what we did here. We arrived a few hours before the meeting and made a video of the steps we do to get the tile and grout clean. Shamrock is educated and certified by the IICRC for tile and grout cleaning, we have years of experience performing the tile and grout cleaning, and we invested in the best equipment to get the job done right.

Water, water everywhere…

Shamrock had a call for a flood on Wednesday. A person found us on the internet and needed help with a wet condominium. The little hose from the toilet to the wall was leaking all night and the whole place was wet. The carpet in each bedroom, hall and living room was soaked. They had the fire department come out and help early in the morning before they called us. The fire department was very helpful, turning off the water, and extracting some water from the floor.

When we came in the the relative humidity was 57% in the home and 35% outside, what a difference! We had to pull the carpet out, which lowered the humidity dramatically. Luckily the moisture did not migrate up the walls too far so we were able to avoid pulling out the drywall.

The family is in a nice hotel and should be back home in about a week. They had insurance with a low deductible so they are in good shape in the long term.

When the family left before we started work they were happy that we were able to help. We were extracting water, removing carpet, bringing in dehumidifiers and air movers within 1 1/2 hours of the time they called, which pleased them. We have been in contact with them a few times a day with updates and that makes them feel comfortable that everything is going as planned to get back into their home.
